A Tribune man was killed, and an infant seriously injured early Monday morning when the car they were riding in ran off K-96 in Greeley County and overturned.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Arrianna Patterson, 20, of Tribune, was driving a 2011 Kia Rio westbound on K-96 about 5 a.m. when the vehicle went across the highway and into the left ditch near County Road 24. It struck a culvert and overturned, then rolled an unknown number of times before coming to rest on its top.

Patterson and front-seat passenger Shawna Longsine, 44, of Tribune, suffered suspected minor injuries, the report stated.

Derek Longsine, 43, of Tribune, died in the crash, while infant Alivaya Patterson suffered suspected serious injuries. All were transported to Greeley County Hospital in Tribune.

The driver and baby were the only occupants of the vehicle restrained, the report indicated.
