Home and Away actor Sam Frost has revealed she will receive the COVID-19 vaccine a month after she controversially spoke about the “segregation” of being unvaccinated.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Frost posted a Story explaining that she won’t be fully vaccinated until mid-to-late February due to having a “medical procedure” booked in January.

Frost’s statement comes after a leaked email confirmed that Channel Seven will require staff to be double vaccinated by January 10th to continue working.

In an email obtained by The Herald Sun, Director of Production at Seven West Media, Andrew Backwell, confirmed last week that the network will “only engage fully vaccinated presenters, cast and crew.”

Frost continued on to confirm that she won’t be leaving the show and instead will be “written out” until she has received both vaccine doses.

“I will be written out temporarily, [her character] Jazzy is going on an off-screen adventure for a few weeks, but I’ll be back,” she said.

“My bosses are amazing, we’ve been in open communication for months. Very grateful we were able to make a plan that works for everyone.”

The post marks the first time that Frost has publicly revealed that she plans to get vaccinated after she caused a stir when she posted a video about being made to feel like “less of a human” for not having done so.

“I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation, a lot of harsh judgment, and it’s taking its toll on my mental health,” she said in the since-deleted clip.

“There are a lot of different reasons people aren’t getting vaccinated – and it might be because of their medical history, the concerns they might have, they might have family history, it might be religious reasons, whatever,” she continued.

“I want to tell those people that feel like they’re getting separated from society – well, I’m not vaccinated, and there’s a reason why I’m not, I’ve spoken to my doctor and my psychologist about it, and I’m going to keep it private.”
