'Southern Charm' Star Kathryn Dennis Shares Cryptic Quote About 'Jealousy' & 'Hate' Following Messy Custody Battle
Steering clear of bad vibes. Kathryn Dennis is warding off any bad juju following her grueling custody battle that ended in a devastating outcome.
The Southern Charm star posted a quote to her Instagram story late on Monday, November 1, where she talked about the type of love she deserves.
“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you deserve people in your life who think you are a big deal,” the message read.
“No competition, no backhanded comments, no jealousy, no hate, just ‘I love you and there is nobody like you’ kind of energy,” the quote continued.
Her cryptic post comes months after a judge ruled to give her ex-husband Thomas Ravenel temporary full custody of their two kids: Kensie, 6, and Saint, 5.
The former flames have been battling it out in court since they called things off in 2016 — and so far it hasn’t been pretty.
The TV personality first lost custody of her children due to her struggle with substance abuse, but after a stay in rehab, she was eventually granted 50/50 custody with Ravenel.
In 2018, the reality star filed for sole custody after Ravenel was arrested for assault and battery, although a judge ultimately ruled that they would continue to co-parent instead.

It wasn’t until February of this year when the arrangement unexpectedly changed, and Ravenel was granted temporary sole custody of the kids with Dennis getting supervised weekend visits.
“I can confirm the information released last week that Ms. Dennis currently has weekend daytime supervised visitation with the parties’ minor children,” a source told People at the time.
It is still unclear what caused the change in the custody agreement and the court documents have reportedly been sealed.
But Dennis has been making the best of the situation, as she seems to be squeezing in every ounce of time she can get with her kiddos.
Earlier in the day on Monday, the doting mama posted a series of sweet snaps while celebrating Halloween with her little ones.
She appeared to be all smiles in the photos after previously expressing that she was having a tough time dealing with the custody loss.
Back in September, the heartbroken mom posted a tearful selfie, admitting that she was “missing my babies.”
“I try to keep from losing the rest of me,” she wrote alongside the gloomy photo. “But some days it be like that.”
