Much has been talked about with Lionel Messi’s early rollercoaster run with Paris Saint-Germain. The Argentine forward has scored three goals in UEFA Champions League group stage play this season but is currently scoreless in Ligue 1.

Former PSG midfielder and current Elche talent Javier Pastore is not much concerned with Messi’s early run at the club. As he noted to Bein Sports France, the Argentine midfielder is confident that Messi will soon turn around his form with the club.

“No, it’s normal that the change is difficult, especially since it’s his first experience outside Barcelona,” Pastore sad. “It’s all new for him. It’s new people, a league he didn’t know. It is normal that he needs time. The Champions League, he knows.

“That’s why it’s a bit harder in France because he doesn’t know his opponents well yet. But he will find his place.”

Messi has formed keen chemistry with Kylian Mbappe over the ongoing campaign but still is yet to shine with PSG’s other star-studded attacking talents.

Messi is currently dealing with a minor muscle discomfort issue, so he may not go on to feature in PSG’s Champions League away group stage encounter with RB Leipzig. Still, PSG will return to Ligue 1 play with the upcoming away clash against Bordeaux. If Messi goes on to take part in this match, then he will have yet another opportunity to post a long-awaited top-class attacking showing for the side in league play.
