The Green Bay Packers legendary quarterback Brett Favre has been in a sticky situation since 2020. Apparently, he had been given a payment of almost $1.1 million in 2017 and 2018 for speaking appearances. However, Favre never attended the speaking gigs and was paid anyway.

In retrospect, Brett Favre had already paid nearly half of the money back but has been under fire by Shad White, a big named auditor in the state of Mississippi. According to White, Favre had been receiving payments for no-show appearances. The former Packers quarterback took to Twitter to clear the air.

Brett Favre continues to plead his case with a series of tweets.

We see many people, celebrities, and other professional athletes alike use social media to clear their names of any wrongdoing. Think what you want about Favre, but he does an excellent job of explaining the situation from his point of view.

It's actually a bit rare to see, but it seems Brett Favre is attempting to do the right thing in this situation. It's a messy scenario, but the Packers legend seems to be genuine with his actions.

Even so, Shad White continues to call out Favre, going as far as to say he's lying about the entire situation. He has a thread of his own breaking down his side of the argument you can find right here.

We'll see what happens, as this is a messy situation for Brett Favre. Whether he's lying or not remains to be unseen, as Favre has reportedly paid back $1.1 million in total. The first $500,000 was already given back, while the Packers legend has recently paid the other $600,000.

Keep an eye on this situation, as it could become much uglier before it gets better. This is a large sum of money at stake and it appears as though Shad White will do anything to make sure it all returns to where it needs to be.
