Should you be elected, what are three specific areas you’d like to change, address, improve or further research, and how specifically would you go about it?: Successfully completing the new school project on time and within budget. We have entrusted a great team of professionals to design and construct this new school to be a reflection of our community. It’s exciting to see years of the district’s hard work, planning, and dedication come to fruition. It’s hard to know the long term ramifications of last years remote learning. It’s nice to have the kids back in the building with their peers and teachers and getting their education back on track. That’s a start, but there is still more work to be done to support the students that need the most help.
Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you?: My nearly 10 years of school board experience, including service as Vice President and President of the board, demonstrates my dedication and ability lead the district in the right direction. With years of construction management experience, my background has proven to be instrumental during the planning and construction of the new school. As a parent of 3 children attending Firelands Schools, I am vested and see the challenges and successes of the district first hand.
