The new seasons of Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 kicked off in late September with a heart-stopping crossover event. Now, only a month later, the two hit ABC dramas are set to share the small screen again, but there’s a little bit of an unexpected wait.

On October 21, minutes after Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19’s latest episodes finished airing on the West Coast, the official Twitter account of Shondaland announced that the shows are going on a three-week hiatus. “Thanks for watching with us, Shondaland!! See you on November 11 for more #Station19 and #GreysAnatomy,” the tweet read.

Still, some fans missed the news and recently found out that the back-to-back episodes won't be shown for some time. “Wait….. just realized that this week and next week #GreysAnatomy won’t be airing. Then what am i supposed to watch?” one person wrote.

When is Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 coming back?

Station 19 and Grey’s Anatomy will return to ABC with new episodes on Thursday, November 11 at 8 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET, respectively. The crossover event will begin with Station 19’s fifth episode of season 5 called “Things We Lost in the Fire.” What starts off as a normal day for the Seattle Fire Department’s finest quickly takes a wild turn when “an explosion rips apart a neighborhood and changes the lives of [the] firefighters forever,” according to the logline.

Then the action continues in Grey’s Anatomy and its fifth episode of season 18, “Bottle Up and Explode!” The blast has a physical and mental impact on the Grey Sloan doctors who “spring into action after an explosion rocks Seattle, with the incoming trauma hitting close to home," per the episode logline.

But what does all of this mean? A promo for Grey’s Anatomy reveals that “not everyone will survive” and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) shares that she can’t get in contact with her husband, Ben (Jason George), a Station 19 firefighter. What’s more, there’s news that a second explosion goes off.

Waiting another two weeks to see who this will affect is going to be really hard, but we’re sure it’ll be worth it. In the meantime, you can tune into ABC's Halloween special Toy Story of TERROR! and Toy Story 4 in Grey's and Station 19's Thursday night time slots. What's more, next Thursday night will feature a new installment of ABC's Disney Family Sing-along specials.
