The Minnesota Wild have been hit hard by COVID-19 and the league's protocol in recent weeks, and their luck didn't change on Thursday.
According to The Athletic , Minnesota forwards Mats Zuccarello and Rem Pitlick have been added to the NHL's COVID-19 protocol. Zuccarello currently leads the team with seven points on three goals and four assists and has played in each of the team's first six games.

Russo added that the team is scheduled to have an "all-team" COVID-19 test session on Thursday.
Further reporting from The Athletic indicated that earlier this week, multiple members of the Minnesota coaching and management staff were in the protocol, and general manager Bill Guerin tested positive on Oct. 13 and was away from the team for 10 days.
