Cabrillo Pavilion and new beachside restaurant nearing fully operational on Santa Barbara’s East Beach

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — After two years of renovations, one year of COVID-19 and $20 million dollars, Santa Barbara’s beachfront Cabrillo Pavilion is nearing fully operational.

During the summer most of the pavilion opened to the public. There’s a remodeled event space upstairs and downstairs a new gym, locker rooms and conference rooms.

Still working to open will be the restaurant that will open up to the beach walk. Reunion Kitchen is still hiring its staff and going through the final permits and preparations to open.

Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department is also looking for more staff for the Pavilion. Rich Hanna, the recreation manager, said when they hire more staff the pavilion will have more hours available to the public.
