The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is putting the fall wolf hunt on hold.
The DNR said Wednesday that it is not issuing licenses to hunters and trappers due to a court ruling blocking the wolf harvest law.
Officials say they continue to work on a management plan to guide management decisions.
Last winter’s hunt was forced by a lawsuit from conservative group Hunter Nation.
