Eleanor Slater Hospital’s Zambarano facility shuts down visitation after two staff members test positive for COVID-19

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Zambarano facility at Eleanor Slater Hospital closed off visitation on Wednesday after two staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

The precautions will be in place for two weeks.

Only essential staff members are allowed on patient units, and the floating of staff will be kept to a minimum.

All staff working in the affected units, as well as the patients, will be tested twice per week.

All other vaccinated staff will continue to be tested monthly, unvaccinated staff will be tested twice per week.

Patients must stay on their units and wear masks outside of their rooms.
