The Philadelphia 76ers and NBA All-Star Ben Simmons are seemingly making progress toward a resolution.
While Simmons remains away from the team, the organization is no longer fining him for missing practices or games as he is seeking help to mentally prepare himself to return to the court and for his lower back ailment.
When Simmons will return to the court is anyone’s guess. There were a lot of things said on both sides that cannot be taken back, so it could take some time until Simmons is comfortable enough to play and return to the court.
While Simmons may still hold out for a trade, it is hard to imagine the 76ers budging off their asking price. They have waited things out this long and they are not afraid to wait even longer.
To get what they are looking for in a return package, Simmons needs to rehab his value.

Right now, it is very low, and every game that he misses it is getting lower. Returning to the court in some capacity may be what is best for both sides.
