A local spa has relocated to a premiere spot in Avon.
Bethesda Wellness moved into its new location, 35682 Detroit Road Suite 4, earlier this month.
Bethesda Wellness, a facial and massage spa owned and operated by Carly Caraballo, originally opened three years ago at another site in Avon.
“We were previously located on Detroit Road as well,” she said. “It’s been a really nice and easy transition for my clients and I.”
Caraballo, 30, is an advanced licensed esthetician who received her credentials in 2013.
She says the spa is also expanding its staff.
“I have this vision for skin and wellness and I can’t do it alone,” she said. “I’m excited to bring people in and see them grow in their own creative way.”
Caraballo says she loves to bring her vision to life.
“I love being able to create an environment that is genuinely relaxing and free of manipulation,” she said. “We love and care for all our clients and provide an atmosphere for them to de-stress.”
She believes that relaxation is more important now than ever.
“Stress and anxiety is becoming the norm,” Caraballo said. “We’re able to cultivate peace in the mind, body and soul through our services.”
She says clients will also learn practical tips to implement outside of the salon.
“We teach people tips on the best breathing practices and other little antidotes that they can do when they feel overwhelmed throughout their day,” Caraballo said.
She hopes the spa becomes an oasis for her clients.
“I want the spa to become its own nook of calm in a crazy world,” she said. “Our services are super relaxing and great for rejuvenation, it’s truly a way to reboot and make time to breathe.”
The spa will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursdays evenings or by appointment.
