State Of Play Otober 2021: Little Devil Inside, Bugsnax: The Isle Of Bigsnax, Death’s Door, & More

Today was PlayStation’s latest State of Play event. They said last week that it would be focused on third-party titles. Yesterday, the devs behind Little Devil Inside revealed that a new look at the game would be showcased. Today’s event presented a look at Deathverse: Let it Die, We Are OFK, a new update for Bugsnax, Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach, Death’s Door, KartRider: Drift, King of Fighters XV, First Class Trouble, and Little Devil Inside.

Deathverse: Let it Die is a multiplayer survival action game where players fight for stardom in a survival TV reality show called Death Jamboree. The battlefield is a virtual world known as the Deathverse. Players will face off against a number of rivals equipped with a special “Wilson” unit, a robotic device that assists the player in combat. The “Wilson” unit has the ability to transform into drone and weapon forms. They can transform into a weapon when a player attacks, deploy a protective shield in drone form, shoot electric bullets to stun enemies, and the ability to activate skills.

Death Jamboree features mainly survival-type battles but will also have limited-time game modes depending on the season. Deathverse: Let it Die will release sometime in 2022.

We Are OFK is a music biopic game from the indie-pop band OFK. The game is a five-episode series that is all about how the band got together. Each episode plays out as interactive music videos that premiere new songs from OFK. They will also have fully-voiced interactive dialogue from a star-studded cast, emotional texting, thirst texting, and emoji spamming. We Are OFK is set to release sometime in 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

The Isle of Bigsnax is a new, free update for Bugsnax coming in early 2022. Players get to travel to a mysterious new island where the Bugsnax are bigger than ever. New mechanics are coming into the game such as the Shrink Spice, which cuts down the giant Bugsnax to a catchable size. Alongside Chandlo, Floofty, Triffany, and Shelda, players will explore the island’s long-forgotten history and some of the characters’ personal history.

The new update adds the ability for players to have their own hut. Complete challenges from the mailbox gives players furniture and accessories to customize the living space. The new update brings in the new island biome, new Bugsnax to capture, over 100 challenges and 30 quests and 200 decorations to collect and display.

New gameplay has been revealed for the next game in the Fight Night at Freddy’s series, Five Night at Freddy’s: Security Breach. It’s a first-person, survival horror game set in Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex. Players will take on the role of Gregory, a little boy who is trapped inside overnight. The goal is to survive while you search for a way out.

As you search for a way out, the animatronics Roxy, Chica, and Monty are on the hunt. Players will also have to be on the lookout for S.T.A.F.F. bots that will sound the alarm and call the animatronics if they spot you. Running will be limited as stamina plays a factor. The animatronics will also evolve as the night progresses so you’ll have to pay attention and adapt to how things change. Freddy Fazbear will support you with shortcuts, insider tips, and warnings. Freddy’s oversized birthday cake hatch also serves as a good hiding spot. Players can access the different security cameras to use, knock down objects to get the enemy’s attention and use some weapons to stun enemies.

Five Night at Freddy’s: Security Breach will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on December 16, 2021.

Death’s Doorthe action-adventure game developed by Acid Nerve released earlier this year for PC and Xbox. Today during State of Play, it was revealed that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on November 23. The game will support 60 FPS and takes full advantage of the capabilities of PlayStation 5 and the DualSense Wireless controller with full haptic feedback support. If you pre-order the game now, you can get Titan Souls for free.

KartRider: Drift is the latest game in the KartRider franchise. Drift introduces next-generation graphics with Unreal Engine 4 and improved gameplay systems. The game will have full cross-play and cross-progression support. A closed beta will be available for PlayStation 4 on December 8. The beta will include two game modes, 30 different tracks, 7 playable characters, and more than 20 karts.

There are a lot of customization options for both karts and characters. The livery system allows you to customize the color, pattern, wraps, and decals of your kart. A variety of decals will be available in the closed beta. More than 100 new karts and 150 character outfits are in the works.

The King of Fighters XV is getting an open beta test for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The open beta test begins on November 19, at 7 pm PST / 3 am BST (4 am CET) / and 12 pm JST. The test ends on November 22 at 6:59 am PST / 2:59 pm BST (3:59 pm CET) / and 11:59 pm JST.

Eight characters will be available to choose from in the beta: Shun’ei, Yashiro, Shermie, Chris, Kyo Kusanagi, Lori Yagami, Chizuru Kagura, and the newest fighter Dolores. Two online and two offline modes will be available to choose from in the open beta test. Casual Match and Room Match are available online. Room Match features a new mechanic for KOF XV – Draft Vs, which takes fights to a new level. Training and Versus are available offline.

First Class Trouble is a social deception party game where players have a certain role to play. Residents are human passengers and are trying to shut down the rogue A.I. at the heart of the Alithea, a luxurious state-of-the-art space cruiser. Personoids are mechanically engineered assistants whose programming has been overwritten and do everything in their power to stop the Residents. This means lying, tricking, and ultimately ridding the ship of humans. At the beginning of each game, the players are assigned one of these two roles.

First Class Trouble launches into PlayStation Plus for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 2.

The latest mainline title in the Star Ocean franchise has been announced. Star Ocean: The Divine Force features a story that changes based on the choices made, where heroes intersect between the two worlds of sci-fi and fantasy, a rich lineup of playable characters, freedom to fly around the environment, three-dimensional traversal and exploration where everything in-sight is a field for adventure, and the fastest and mightest action in the Star Ocean series.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force features the return of the “Double Hero” system as players take on the role of the game’s two protagonists, Raymond and Laeticia. Players can also take control of each of the party members. In battle, characters can make an assault straight from traversing at incredibly high speeds, disappear instantly before an enemy, or defeat enemies with a skill that enables one-shot kills.

Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2022.

The new gameplay revealed for Little Devil Inside shares a first look at how travel in the game works. As you travel, players will come across and encounter various events. Many of these are simple interactions that has the player remain in the world map view. Others allow players to zoom into an actual real-time gameplay level where real-time actions can be preformed. Players can travel through the world on foot, a horse, in vehicles, and by train.

The devs said that “The game is not about leveling up the character as quickly as you can and speed running through all the content. As such, the pace of the game is designed to try and touch the player’s emotions by giving enough time and space and allow them to “take-in” the various atmosphere. Hence, no fast travel.”
