A Quiet Place Video Game Announced, Launching 2022

Seemingly out of nowhere, a brand new IP has been announced. A Quiet Place, yes based off of the actual movie, has been revealed via an official website launch. The game will be developed within three studios, Saber Interactive, iLLOGIKA, and EP1T0ME. The website itself doesn’t offer much in terms of information, but it’s apparently going to be an “untold story of survival in the A Quiet Place universe.” This strongly suggests that it will not be related in terms of story to the two films which this is based off of. It is scheduled for a release sometime in 2022.

As we mentioned, the video game is based off of its film namesake, A Quiet Place, which has produced two entries. Both have been critically acclaimed, with the second one in particular doing very well when it was released earlier this year. In separate press release, EP1T0ME states that the game will be single-player, horror-driven adventure and will have an original story separate from the film franchise. The main developer, iLLOGIKA, consists of veterans from the Rainbow Six and Far Cry franchises. EP1T0ME will assist in the development while Saber Interactive will be the publisher, who is in turn part of the massive umbrella of the Embracer Group.

The press release also states that more information will be revealed later this year. This leaves a few possibilities as to when we can find out more about the title. This includes The Game Awards 2021, which is slated for December, and Sony’s upcoming State of Play. It’ll be interesting to see how much more we find out about this new venture, especially since it’s based off of a newer movie franchise.
