PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh bar was raided by federal agents Wednesday in connection with an investigation into a biker gang.

Federal law enforcement sources confirmed a Homewood bar was raided as part of the investigation into the Sin City Disciples.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana, the Sin City Disciples were originally formed in 1967 in Gary, Indiana. The motorcycle gang members have “allegedly engaged in acts of violence, extortion, trafficking in stolen property, and narcotics distribution.”

Channel 11′s cameras caught agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives going in and out of the bar near the intersection of Brushton Avenue and Bennett Street.

Fifteen people connected to the organization were arrested and charged across a number of mid-Atlantic and Midwest states. In Pittsburgh, Richard White, 54, was arrested as part of the raid. They were all charged with racketeering conspiracy and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

Federal officials said the investigation began as a murder-for-hire scheme in Indiana. Two gang members were allegedly involved and used a gun to kill a woman.
