Over 3,500 new COVID cases reported in Ohio Wednesday

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) —
The Ohio Health Department is reporting more than 3,500 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday.

The health department reported 3,839 new COVID cases, with 161 additional hospitalizations.
The new numbers brought the state's total to 1,531,815 coronavirus cases, 79,297 hospitalizations, and 24,197 deaths since the pandemic began in 2020.

The 21-day case average has declined to 4,097.
