MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. (1010 WINS) — One person died Wednesday morning when a tree limb fell on two moving vehicles on a New Jersey road, according to a report.

The tree limb fell at about 7:30 a.m. on Mendham Road in Morris Township, striking one car traveling east and another heading west, police told WABC7.
One person was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead, according to the station. A second person suffered minor injuries.
The incident occurred the morning after a rare fall nor'easter pummeled the region with prolonged rainfall and high winds.
Further details surrounding the crash were not immediately clear.
Morris Township police did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
