Capitol Police have reported road closures after receiving a bomb threat at the Department of Health and Human Services building.
Capitol Police issued a warning to Capitol Hill staff Wednesday morning, closing roads around the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services building “due to a bomb threat” and evacuating the site.
At least six roads surrounding the Capitol area have been closed off.

Capitol Police have also evacuated the O’Neill House Office Building and Botanic Gardens, according to emails acquired by the Washington Examiner.

Police officers have responded to a series of threats in the area near the Capitol in recent days.
On Tuesday, Rep. Ilhan Omar called Capitol Police after discovering a suspicious substance on a package that read, “The Patriarchy will rise again. Merry f***ing Christmas.”
Days before on Sunday, D.C. Police worked with Capitol officers to investigate the report of a young man carrying firearms and explosives on the Hill. After canvassing the area, officials did not find a suspect.
