Hull, IA (KICD)– An Orange City man is facing felony charges after an online interaction turned into an alleged burglary earlier this week.
Online court documents show 19-year-old Christopher Rubiales-Sandoval is accused of burglarizing a home in Hull on Monday after allegedly threatening to assault the resident via social media over what police say was a disagreement about personal property.
Deputies with the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office say Rubiales-Sandoval forced his way into the home and then left before police arrived.
He was taken into custody later in the day and charged with second degree burglary. He remains in the Sioux County Jail on ten thousand dollars bond with a preliminary hearing set for early next month.
