VIDEO: NYPD seek suspect who placed teen in chokehold during theft on Midtown street
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a man wanted after a teen was placed in a chokehold during a robbery pattern in Midtown late last month, officials said.
Just before 6 p.m. on Monday, September 27, the suspect approached a 60-year-old woman in the vicinity of 34th Street and 6th Avenue and attempted to forcibly remove her purse from her shoulder before fleeing on foot, authorities said.
About an hour later, the suspect approached an 18-year-old man in the vicinity of 44th Street and 7th Avenue and put him in a chokehold while forcibly removing his property, and fled on foot, according to the NYPD.
The victim refused medical attention.
