With two weeks left in the regular season — and five more weekends of postseason games after that — the race for the all-for-fun Bay Area News Group high school football picks competition bragging rights is wide open.
Evan Webeck still holds a two-game lead over yours truly and a five-game edge over Mike Lefkow after each of us went 7-7 in Week 9.
Yeah, it wasn’t a good week.
We’ve added a bonus game to our Week 10 list after one of our games last week, Lincoln-San Jose against Live Oak, was canceled because of COVID-19 issues.
There are plenty of good games in the penultimate weekend of the regular season — Monte Vista at Clayton Valley, Burlingame at Menlo-Atherton, Bellarmine at Valley Christian, San Ramon Valley at California.
