A Henry County suspect remains in custody in connection with the Oct. 13 death of a Hampton resident.
Henry County police officers responded to a Georgia Highway 81 residence in Hampton to reports of a person shot.
Officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was later pronounced deceased, according to information released Monday afternoon by the Henry County Police Department.
The suspect was identified as Felicia Long, 47.
According to the HCPD, Long went to the Hampton residence and reportedly shot the victim several times when the victim answered the door.
Long is accused of fatally shooting the mother of her boyfriend’s child, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
A murder warrant was issued for Long on the day of the incident, and the suspect was transported to the Henry County Jail for booking.
