UPDATE: Pedestrian struck on Tiny Town Road dies, ID’d

Update, Wednesday 9:30 a.m.: The pedestrian that was hit Tuesday night on Tiny Town Road has died as a result of his injuries, according to Beaubien.

He has been identified as 67-year-old John Hill-Nicholson, and his next of kin has been notified. 

Hill-Nicholson had been traveling east on Tiny Town Road when some items he was hauling in a trailer fell out and onto the roadway, Beaubien said. He stopped in the center, of the road in continuous two-way left-turn lane on Tiny Town near Green Acres Drive and exited his vehicle to retrieve those items. 

A vehicle traveling westbound on Tiny Town struck Hill-Nicholson, and CPD’s Fatal Accident Crash Team did respond to the scene, Beaubien said.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to please contact Investigator Crosby at 931-648-0656, ext. 5336.

Update, 10:35 p.m.: Tiny Town Road is back open, according to Clarksville Police.

The pedestrian was transported to Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville, and his condition was not released.

This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information was released Tuesday night.

Update, 10:15 p.m.: Tiny Town Road remains closed.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A pedestrian was hit on Tiny Town Road Tuesday night, causing the road to be shut down in both directions.

At 6:46 p.m., a single vehicle hit a pedestrian near Green Acres Drive, on the Fort Campbell Boulevard end of the road, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien. The pedestrian’s condition was not immediately available.

Tiny Town Road was shut down in both directions, with traffic diverted down .

“This is causing major traffic issues and CPD is asking the public to find alternate routes until the roadway can be completely cleared,” Beaubien said.
