Posted Oct 26, 2021 11:00 PM

A nearly 19-mile crack repair project will begin soon on K-19 in Edwards and Pawnee counties.

The Kansas Department of Transportation project will be on K-19 from the U.S. 50 junction in Edwards County north to the Edwards/Pawnee county line. The length is almost 4 miles.

The work will also be on K-19 from the Edwards/Pawnee county line to the south city limits of Larned in Pawnee County. The length is about 15 miles.

The work is expected to begin around Nov. 8 and be completed around the end of November. During the work, traffic in the work zone will be restricted to one lane and controlled by flaggers and a pilot car. Motorists approaching the work zone should be prepared to stop and face delays of up to 15 minutes.

R.A. Knapp Construction Inc., of Lenexa, is the primary contractor for the $194,520 project.
