A clemency hearing for an inmate on Oklahoma's death row has been "cancelled until further notice," according to the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole website.

Bigler Stouffer was originally scheduled for a clemency hearing on Wednesday.

It wasn't immediately clear why the hearing was changed.

The 79-year-old has been on death row following a first-degree murder conviction in the 1985 death of an Oklahoma school teacher.
