Kupari was sent down to AHL Ontario on Tuesday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports.
Kupari has been held without a point while averaging 11:19 of ice time through five games this season. The 21-year-old forward could be back on the roster for Thursday's game against the Jets unless the Kings are expecting reinforcements to come off injured reserve.
