Clayton man indicted on child pornography charges

WILMINGTON, Del. – A federal grand jury has returned an indictment, charging a Clayton man with receiving, distributing, and possessing child pornography.

We’re told the indictment alleges that 72-year-old Rick Schriber received and distributed child pornography from approximately September 2018 through August 2019. Additional documents filed in federal court claim that Schriber received and distributed the child pornography via email exchanges with another person.

Law enforcement searched Schriber’s residence on October 20, 2021, discovering child pornography. He was arrested without incident and has been in custody since his arrest.

If convicted, Scriber faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison, with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
