The St. Louis Blues continued their hot start on Monday night by defeating the Los Angeles Kings , 3-0. The Blues sit atop the Central Division with a record of 5-0-0, one of only four teams to be undefeated thus far.

Vladimir Tarasenko scored two goals during the win, and was named first star of the game. As Tarasenko walked down the tunnel following the announcement of him being named first star, the fans chanted his name.
"That was a special moment," Tarasenko told reporter after the game. "It was very emotional."
He went on to add, "We always have support from the real fans. Our family got so much help from (the) people (of) St. Louis. The support through (these) 10 years was very awesome."

It's was an interesting off-season for
Vladimir Tarasenko. He reportedly requested a trade away from the Blues and was left unprotected for Seattle's expansion draft in July.
Despite all that, Tarasenko returned to St. Louis for training camp, stating that "I'm here to work". Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic reports that Tarasenko hasn't changed his mind about the trade request and would still like to be moved.
The Yaroslavl, Russia native has spent his entire career with the Blues after being selected by them in the first round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. In 536 career games, the 29-year-old has 448 points (221 G, 227 A), 145 penalty minutes, and is a +72.
