In the latest TV show ratings, The CW‘s All American opened Season 4 on Monday with 652,000 total viewers and a 0.2 demo rating, nearly on par with both its previous averages (710K/0.2) and July finale (720K/0.2). TVLine readers gave the premiere an average grade of “A-.”
Leading out of that, 4400 (no The) debuted to 540K — the CW time slot’s largest audience since Dec. 28, 2020 — and a 0.1 demo rating. TVLine readers gave the reboot an average grade of “C+.”
Elsewhere, with CBS in rerun mode….
NBC | The Voice (6.9 mil/0.9, read recap) ticked up week-to-week and dominated Monday in both measures. Ordinary Joe rose to its third-largest audience thus far (2.8 mil) while posting its third straight 0.4 rating.
ABC | Dancing With the Stars (4.6 mil/0.6, read recap) slipped to its second smallest audience and its lowest rating of the season. The Good Doctor (4 mil/0.4) was steady.
FOX | Leading out of some Masked Singer special (2.2 mil/0.4), The Big Leap hit a new audience low (1.04 mil) while clutching onto its 0.2 demo rating.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. Kids, ask parents before calling.
I think Ordinary Joe is one of the best new dramas that have come out in a long time. It is a mind-bender. Sometimes I get lost, but if I picture each Joe scenario separately it falls into place. Except where is Amy in Dr. Joe’s storyline? And it doesn’t look like Musician Joe’s Amy feels all that guilty about cheating on him, it was more like Great thanks for making me think you were having an affair! I think Zeke is in a foster home (with no mother present) and Musician Joe will have a chance to adopt him. I just love this show and could talk about it forever. I miss TVLine’s recaps.
Amy is married to Nurse Joe’s best friend so she’s pretty much a no-go when it comes to romantic storylines in that universe.
Who says that marriage cannot come to an end?
I definitely struggle with keeping track of the supporting characters in the timelines. I didn’t even remember that we hadn’t seen his uncle in one of the timelines until last night
Still enjoying Ordinary Joe. Poor Bobby had a rough episode last night.
Ahhhh FOX move The Big Leap to a different night. It needs an audience!!!! It is so good. I thought with CBS in reruns it might have had a boost. Really want a second season but if it is unlikely I hope we get a satisfying conclusion to season 1.
Where exactly would they move it to?All the other timeslots are already taken and it’s hardly likely FOX is going to bump out a different show getting much better ratings/viewers as contrasted with TBL just to gamble TBL might do better.
Fridays are terrible but I think they have Smackdown.
And Friday Night Smackdown takes up the entire 8:00 to 10:00 pm EST timeslot.FOX doesn’t schedule shows for 10-11 pm EST -that’s their news timeslot.
I feel like it would be perfect after The Masked Singer (which I don’t watch but still it would be a good fit). I love The Big Leap so much, I just wish it would break out!
That’s not going to help TBL and move it where?
I’m really enjoying the big leap but those numbers are going to get it cancelled. And last night was best far the best episode of Ordinary Joe, glad to see the uptick.
I love DWTS! Bring in a different host, and stop bringing in people with a lot of dance experience, and I bet the ratings will go up! It’s a fun show, and the pro dancers are great! But Tyra brings the show down, and people are also tired of watching people like Jojo get lots of praise when she already has a significant dance background. Personally, I’m enjoying watching Iman, Jimmie, Melora, and Mike. I really hope one of them win. They have to stop scoring Jojo super high just because she has a dance background and she’s gay…I swear, they’re pushing an agenda and want her to win because of her being partnered with Jenna.
Completey agree with what you said. I have been a fan of Mike “The Miz” for years and Melora from The Office is doing great. Both of them have improved from week one and deserve better remarks than they got last night. The judges and producers will make sure Jojo will win.
Also, it wouldn’t hurt to start having bona fide stars for a change. They’ve stretched the “stars” definition out of all recognizable bounds with their has-beens and never-really-weres.
Definitely agree about JoJo
I liked the 1st episode of the rebooted 4400 thus far. Then again, I liked the first few of episodes of the original as well, but then I lost interest because the creator decided to walk a path I had no interest in.
Let’s see what happens with this reboot.
At the very least as a CBS owned series the 4400 will be renewed. CBS are contractually obligated to have a certain number of shows on the CW. This basically makes it a cheaper option as premiering a whole new show next season will cost more.
If that is the case then CBS could have solved that problem by keeping all of shows that they cancelled last spring Macgyver, NCIS NOLA, Mom, All Rise & The Unicorn & placed them on the CW or better yet they should not have cancelled them at all &;replaced them with this years crop of loser shows . If they wanted the loser shows so bad they should have placed them on the CW & kept the originals all who had/ still have ardent fan bases who want them back . Also all if them also did better in the ratings than anything replacing them. What’s up with that CBS? I know you have your hands full & are busy putting out one fire after another in each of your divisions. But pay attention to the ratings as well as your loyal viewers . You won’t have any fires left to put out if you don’t have any divisions left to fight for.
Hate to burst your bubble but, except for Mom, all those shows you list were in the bottom half of CBS scripted show ratings for 2020-2011–taking into account the average drop in ratings numbers across the board for network scripted shows their numbers would’ve dropped proportionally as well. And surely you are not claiming All Rise had better ratings than NCIS (original) that took over it’s timeslot?
Correction–2020-2021 (oops!)
I lost interest in the original when it became primarily focused on the cult of the Rocketeer and Mahershala Ali’s scary-magical daughter.
People please watch The Big Leap. It’s such a great show with a talented cast and so much fun, drama and humor. I need a full season and a season 2.
I agree! It’s such a gem! Seeing these numbers makes me cry.
It’s such a shame that the Big Lift is scheduled in such a tough time slot. I’m really enjoying it even if I’m in the minority. I hope FOX gives it a chance.
The Big Leap is excellent. DWTS needs new host and this season way too many people with dance training it’s not even fair. And the judges need to calm down over some of the contestants. It’s so bad it’s almost scripted each week who is going home. I zoom through to see who goes home. What a bad decision to use Tyra…she is awful.
It is such a shame The Big Leap can’t seem to find a linear audience. It is such a good show. The writing is sharp and it is very funny and chock full of very interesting personalities. I hope Fox take a Big Leap of faith and keeps it around a bit longer.
I really liked the 4400 will be watching.
Bye “The Big Leap.” I really don’t know about OJ. I guess if the other numbers are good, NBC will keep it. Like it does well streaming and international.
I thought 4400 was awful. Incredibly boring. I’m really liking Ordinary Joe more as time goes on.
If you have a smart TV go to Netflix and watch the 4400 original 1 there. It it is fantastic this this sucks!
Yes, Ordinary Joe! Get those ratings. I think the This Is Us formula is starting to work for this show. More and more viewers are being drawn in every week. We even have a broken uncle coming home to roost. I love that Nurse Joe finally seems happy. We get to see much more of his personality now. I like the suggestion that someone in the comment section made that Zeke is in a foster home. Then maybe he, Joe and Jenny can finally be reunited.
The Big Leap is soooo good. More people need to watch this show!
The show is terrible. If you like the wook Generations You can give it a C. Next to the original which was A It’s about a D-. I hope the God they don’t renew it or continue it for the rest of the season.
