Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright left Vanderpump Rules ahead of Season 9
If you’re watching Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules, you’ve likely noticed that several of the OGs are missing. Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from the popular Bravo show for racially insensitive behavior.
The firing came in June of 2020, at the height of racial tensions in the country. Some fans encouraged Bravo to fire Jax Taylor for his transphobic tweets about former co-star Billie Lee.
A few months after Stassi and Kristen’s firing, Jax Taylor and wife Brittany Cartwright announced their own exit with a joint statement. They cited their growing family as the reason. Brittany was pregnant with their first child at the time.
However, many fans believe that Jax Taylor was fired from Bravo, with Brittany as collateral damage, but the network let them save face by claiming it was their decision.
Vanderpump Rules ratings reflect fans’ displeasure at the OGs’ absence.

Jax Taylor has been teasing his Instagram followers about a new show for weeks. When he promised a TV return “soon,” fans didn’t expect to see him make an appearance on the daytime talk show The Doctors. While there, he opened up about his love of Botox.
Additionally, he seems to have a partnership with Amazon Live on Instagram. But is there more?
A new rumor stirring up the internet is a Jax and Brittany spin-off on Peacock streaming. Heavy reports that the show would be a revival of their failed Bravo show Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky. The 2017 show lasted just one season.
According to the outlet, the rumor was first reported in an anonymous DM to the gossip site @deuxmoi. If it’s true, the show would revolve around Jax and Brittany returning to Kentucky to renovate an old farmhouse.
Hours after the rumor went viral, Radar Online shot it down. A source close to the streaming service said that spin-off rumor was “not true.”
However, it remains to be seen where Jax and Brittany take Peacock, or where they’ll pop up next.
