SPARTA, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A good Samaritan saved the life of a man who fell into a Sparta Creek Friday.
The Sparta Police Department says it responded to reports of a man partially submerged in beaver creek shortly before 8 pm.
Officers arrived to find the good Samaritan holding onto the fallen man who was now almost completely submerged in the cold water.
Officers rescued and transported him to the hospital for pain from the fall and possible hypothermia.
