That’s why folks in Philadelphia should be disheartened by the latest developments in Indianapolis. Per WIP:

Wentz led the Colts to a 30-18 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. It was Indianapolis’ second straight win, pulling the Colts’ record up to 3-4.

Remember, the Eagles traded Wentz to the Colts in February for a pair of draft picks, including a second-round selection in 2022. But it becomes a first-round selection if Wentz plays 75% of the snaps this season, or if Wentz plays 70% of the snaps and the Colts go to the playoffs.

If Wentz maintains his playing time, the Eagles will have three first-round picks in 2022, although the one from Indianapolis could be well outside the top 10. The Eagles also have their own pick and one from the Miami Dolphins as part of the deal which let Philadelphia draft wide receiver DeVonta Smith in April.
