The name of UFC lightweight star Nate Diaz has been thrown as Jake Paul's next opponent.

New breed of boxing fans are holding their breath as they wait to see who will Jake Paul fight next. The YouTube star is now becoming one of the most sought-after boxing sensations after earning a decision win over former UFC welterweight Tyron Woodley.

More UFC stars have been linked to a fight against Paul since then and Nate Diaz is now included in the list. While it’s already shocking that Diaz has been mentioned in the conversation, Bellator commentator Josh Thomson even came up with a more eye-popping claim.

According to Thomson, it is true that Diaz will still fight under the UFC banner but it will be his “last.” After that, the MMA star will move on to a new chapter in his career and will take on Paul next.

“I want you guys all to know this. He [Nate Diaz] is leaving the UFC.” Thomson said on his “Weighing In” podcast with John McCarthy via BJPenn.com. “He’s fighting Jake Paul [after]. They’re going to fight. That fight’s gonna happen.”

UFC president Dana White had just confirmed during a recent press conference that Diaz indeed has one more fight in his UFC contract.

The UFC is already working on a fight for Diaz and despite the hype of a lightweight showdown against fellow veteran Tony Ferguson, White said it is unlikely to happen and they have yet to figure out who the opponent will be.
