According to the Redwood Community Action Agency, a transportation study is being conducted by Humboldt County Public Works and funding through Caltrans Sustainable Communities Grant Program.
This will allow public transportation in McKinleyville with safer and better connections when walking, cycling, and transit access to destinations south along Humboldt Bay.
According to RCAA, this project will cater to disadvantaged communities, capacity, safety, along with Spanish translations.
Associates in this project are looking public inputs from the community through photo submissions to improve McKinleyville walking, bicycling, and transit access.
To participate, submit one or more photos taken within the project area accompanied by a narrative that describes specific concerns or opportunities depicted in the photos to jweiss@rcaa.org between Nov.1 and Nov. 20, 2021. Submitted photographs will help the evaluation team better understand needs and prioritization of potential safety projects. For more information, please visit the project website.
