The finalists for the Silver Slugger Award were announced on Monday, with four Dodgers hitters receiving nominations.

Max Muncy, Trea Turner, Justin Turner and Will Smith were all finalists at their respective positions. However, Justin Turner was a finalist at second base. No, I don’t know how that’s possible or why exactly that’s the case, unless there’s another Justin Turner we don’t know about.

The winners will be announced Thursday November 11 at 3:00 p.m. PT on MLB Network. The awards are decided by a vote of Major League managers and coaches to determine the best offensive producers at each position. Each team gets four votes. One vote for the manager and three for coaches of the team’s choice.

All four players who were nominated have never won a Silver Slugger Award.
