The Salvation Army will begin taking applications in Quincy for Christmas Food Baskets and toys from Quincy Toys for Tots during the week of November 1-5.
Anyone wanting to apply for assistance can visit the Kroc Center, located at 405 Vermont, from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Wednesday, 3:30-7 p.m. Thursday, and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4pm Friday.
People need to bring several documents to apply:
- A photo ID
- Proof of guardianship of children such as a birth certificate, social security card, court documents or medical card showing children’s names and birth dates
- Proof of current address such as a piece of mail, medical card, or bank statement (driver’s license will not be accepted)
- Proof of income from the last 30 days if not currently stated on their medical card
Quincy Catholic Charities’ registration days will be November 29 through December 10 from 8:30 a.m. -12 and 1- 4:30 p.m. Registration will be held within their facility located at 620 Maine Street.
