Annette O’Toole confirmed for Virgin River season 4

Ahead of the forthcoming Virgin River season 4, we’re finding out a lot of interesting details about the upcoming episodes. For starters, season 4 — and season 5! — is happening, and there will be some new faces joining the familiar ones, such as Annette O’Toole.

Of course, in Virgin River season 3, the matter of Annette O’Toole appearing in the future as Hope McCrea was called into question when her presence in the new episodes was minimal at best. O’Toole appeared in off-camera video calls, and Hope’s fate was left up in the air.

Virgin River season 4 will feature the main cast back in action, and Deadline reports two additional actors have been added to the main cast. Mark Ghanimé joins the cast as new physician Dr. Cameron Hayek, and Kai Bradbury plays Doc’s grandson Denny Cutler.

Deadline’s report also included some intriguing information about the cast that could otherwise be confirmation that a certain cast member will be back in the extended fourth season. Don’t say your goodbyes to Hope McCrea just yet.

Will Annette O’Toole be in Virgin River season 4?

Thankfully, Deadline includes Annette O’Toole in the list of returning cast members, which seemingly confirms that Hope will be back for Virgin River season 4. That’s cause for celebration!

Although there had been no confirmation from Netflix or Annette O’Toole herself that the actress would be leaving the series, fans worried that they had seen the last of Hope. Given the status of her health in the season 3 finale, the likelihood that she would be back seemed slim.

We won’t give away any major spoilers, but both a hurricane and a serious car accident kept Hope away from Virgin River in season 3. O’Toole’s appearance on screen was limited due to the pandemic, but it looks like she’s coming back. However, under what capacity remains to be seen.
