Through 3 Quarters

Only one more quarter stands between the Miami Heat and the win they were favored to collect going into this night. Three quarters in and their offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating the Orlando Magic 84-72.

Small forward Jimmy Butler has taken over for the Heat, currently boasting 34 points (40% of their total) in addition to five steals. Orlando has been relying on the performance of small forward Franz Wagner, who has 15 points and four assists. Those points put Wagner near his season high of 16.

What to Know

The Orlando Magic might have tired legs after a game yesterday as they head on the road against the Miami Heat at 7:30 p.m. ET Oct. 25 at FTX Arena. The Magic aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.

Orlando didn't have too much breathing room in their contest with the New York Knicks on Sunday, but they still walked away with a 110-104 win. Orlando can attribute much of their success to point guard Cole Anthony, who shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and almost finished with a triple-double on 29 points, 16 rebounds, and eight assists.

Meanwhile, Miami fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Indiana Pacers this past Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result, falling 102-91. Point guard Tyler Herro (30 points) was the top scorer for Miami.

Orlando's victory lifted them to 1-2 while Miami's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll see if Orlando can repeat their recent success or if the Heat bounce back and reverse their fortune.
