Ali Wentworth jokes she’s smarter than husband George Stephanopoulos

Ali Wentworth may be married to a former Rhodes scholar, but she sees herself as the brainiac of their family.

The comedian, who wed “Good Morning America” co-anchor George Stephanopoulos in 2001, hilariously boasted in an exclusive interview with Page Six that she is not only genetically blessed but also incredibly smart.

“I’m one of the most beautiful women in the world and considered a top sex symbol in four countries,” Wentworth, 56, joked at the Michael J. Fox Foundation‘s annual gala, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s.

“I’m actually smarter than George and my children put together,” the “In Living Color” alum continued with a straight face, referring to daughters Elliott, 19, and Harper, 16.

“In fact, George didn’t know where the Middle East was until I pointed it out on a map. … I pretend I’m the silly, blond, crazy wife, but I’m the brains behind the whole operation.”

Further tooting her own horn, Wentworth pointed out that she and 60-year-old Stephanopoulos, who recently launched his own production company within ABC News, have been compared to comedic greats Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.

“In fact, tomorrow I’m going to make my own wine,” she quipped in a nod to a classic “I Love Lucy” episode.
