Warner Bros. chiefs have defended Dougray Scott after his former “Batwoman” co-star Ruby Rose accused him of abusing women on the show — and the studio is insisting she was fired following multiple complaints about her own behavior.
“Dougray hurt a female stunt double, he yelled like a little b—h at women and was a nightmare,” the 35-year-old Australian actress posted in an Instagram Story. “He left when he wanted and arrived when he wanted. He abused women and in turn as a lead of a show I sent an email asking for a no-yelling policy. They declined.”
However, in a statement to The Post Monday, Warner Bros. said: “We condemn the comments made by Rose about Scott.
“Warner Bros. has found Mr. Scott to be a consummate professional, and never received any allegation against him of bullying, or of abusive behavior on his part. Mr. Scott was greatly respected and admired by his colleagues, and was a leader on the set.”
In an astonishing comment, the statement read: “Warner Bros. Television did not pick up Ruby Rose’s option for an additional season because of multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed by the Studio.”
The company previously condemned Rose’s claims as “revisionist history.”
Multiple sources told The Post that Scott, 55, and his family had been having a difficult time amid Rose’s comments.
Scott has already defended himself, releasing a statement to the Wrap that read: “As Warner Bros. Television has stated, they decided not to exercise the option to engage Ruby for Season 2 of ‘Batwoman’ based on multiple complaints about her workplace behavior.
“I absolutely and completely refute the defamatory and damaging claims made against me by her; they are entirely made up and never happened,” he continued.
The Aussie actress also slammed “Batwoman” showrunner Caroline Dries, as well as Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter of the show’s production company, Berlanti Productions, promising to “come for you so what happened to me never happens to another person again.”
Rose, who rose to fame on the Netflix hit “Orange Is the New Black,” began the series of posts by tagging Dries, Berlanti and Schechter, writing, “Enough is enough.”
Rose, who left her role as Batwoman, aka Kate Kane, after only one season, claimed that former Warner Bros. Television chairman Peter Roth “forced” her back to work following surgery from a neck injury and hired a private investigator to dig up dirt on her.
