Batesville High School Charter Teacher Matt Wentz (pictured, back row, far left) and his World Civilization class recently cleaned up the “Baja” stretch of Jennings Lane that leads to the junior and high school campuses as part of the Great Arkansas Cleanup.

The Great Arkansas Cleanup takes place each fall from September (the first weekend after Labor Day) through October. Thousands of Arkansans remove tons of trash from our state’s roadways, shorelines, parks, and public areas during this statewide community improvement campaign, according to the Keep Arkansas Beautiful program.
