Jennifer Love Hewitt is shutting out the noise and focusing on what’s important to her offscreen.

At the end of the summer, the 9-1-1 actor and her husband, fellow actor Brian Hallisay, welcomed a son named Aidan James (the couple is also parents to a daughter named Autumn, 7, and a son named Atticus, 6). On September 9, Jennifer announced on Instagram that she had given birth to the couple’s third child. “It was my greatest honor to go and collect you, Aidan James. Now back to snuggles and resting 👶🏻🧡,” she wrote about the special moment.

More than a month later, on October 17, the new mother took to her Instagram Stories to let her fans know that she was leaving the platform for a bit.

“Today is my first day back in the sauna after being pregnant and having my baby,” she captioned a selfie in her Instagram Story. “Two days ago was my first long bath since labor. Some things you can’t do [until] the doc says so and others you just stop taking time for. But self-care, moments to breathe and feel yourself again even in small ways, [are] so important. I am also starting at least a week, maybe two, away from social media tomorrow.”

The Texas native then went on to explain that while she wants to be more present in her life, social media has also made her feel “bad” about herself, prompting her to make this decision. “Like I’m not enough. Doing enough. Getting my body back fast enough. Giving enough. All of it,” Jennifer wrote. And going offline quickly had an upside. “Oh and because I am giving up social media, my kids wanna give up YouTube shows. So one small miracle already lol,” she added.

After hearing what she’s been thinking about, Jennifer’s fans reached out on her latest Instagram post (her birth announcement) and left heartfelt messages for her.

“Please enjoy your time away from social media!! There are many out there, like myself, who think you look amazing and do the best that you can! ☺️ Can’t wait until you come back…💕,” one person wrote. “I hope you know you’re a great mom. A tired momma but it will come back feeling normal. You’re beautiful, it seems inside and out,” another added. “Just sending a note to say thinking about you. 💗 Hope you are getting rest when you can and being gentle with yourself,” a different fan said.

On the hit FOX drama 9-1-1, Jennifer’s character, Maddie, has been absent for the first half of season 5. After giving birth to a daughter with her firefighter boyfriend Chimney (Kenneth Choi), Maddie began experiencing postpartum depression and decided to take time away from her family. Now, after several weeks of not seeing Maddie, fans are hoping she comes back soon.

“So ready for JLH aka Maddie to come back. We miss you!!! Chimney misses you and needs you to be safe,” a follower tweeted. “What a queen! Can’t wait to see Maddie back! ♥️” someone else commented.

We hope Jennifer is enjoying lots of family time and squeezing in some time for herself too!
