Judith M. Berger, 69, of Ephrata, died from her injuries on Saturday according to Ephrata police.

Berger had been hit by the bus at the intersection of North State Street and Pine Street in Ephrata Borough on Oct. 20, at 4:57 p.m., as Daily Voice previously reported.

A Boyo student transport van, which did not have students onboard, struck Berger while she was crossing North State Street in the crosswalk, as reported by police at the time.

Berger sustained serious injuries and was transported to Lancaster General Hospital where she later died, according to police.

The Lancaster County coroner's office was not immediately available when Daily Voice reached out for further details on the matter.

The Boyo Transportation Services van was driven by Lori K. Kempisty, 47, of Ephrata, police said.

No charges have been filed against Kempisty at this time.

Her only previous charge was a summary offense for driving a vehicle without a proper inspection, an offense she pleaded guilty to in Oct. 2018, according to court documents.
