Zach Wilson sprains PCL vs. Patriots
New York Jets rookie quarterback Zach Wilson left Sunday’s 54-13 loss to the New England Patriots in the second quarter with what was called a knee injury and did not return.
Wilson had an MRI on Monday, which confirmed he has a sprained PCL. He is expected to be out for 2-to-4 weeks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

That timetable would keep Wilson out for the team’s Week 8 home game against the Cincinnati Bengals and its Week 9 road trip to play the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football. His earliest plausible return date would be Week 10 when the Jets host the Buffalo Bills (Nov. 14).
Following Week 10, the Jets host the Dolphins in Week 11 (Nov. 21) and visit the Texans in Week 12 (Nov. 28).
Wilson was replaced by Mike White for the remainder of the game in Foxborough, who made his first regular-season appearance in the NFL since being drafted by the Cowboys in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL draft.
White completed 20 of 32 passes for 202 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
Prior to exiting, Wilson completed 6 of 10 passes for 51 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He seemed to be finding a rhythm, executing an improvised flip-pass to Ty Johnson for a first down and delivering an accurate dart to Ryan Griffin while rolling to his left.
On the play where he was injured on a hit from Matthew Judon, Wilson had drawn a 46-yard pass interference call on a deep bomb to Keelan Cole, setting up the Jets in the red zone. Wilson had led a long drive on his previous series as well, which culminated in a missed field goal.

I really hope they don’t rush him back. No need to reaggravate anything.
Ok. I’m a nice man. I promise. But football isn’t a place for the nice. They were laughing at us. Openly. I was really surprised not one jet tried to return the favor and try to introduce “Macs” knees to the IR for a couple weeks. It seems like open season on our players. No penalties. Ever.
