UPDATE: Police searching for man who escaped from hospital

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police have issued a Gold Alert for a man who reportedly escaped from the hospital Sunday night.

According to police, 27-year-old Darian Powell was being treated at Bayhealth Kent Campus for a condition that poses a threat to his health and safety if not properly monitored and managed. While at the hospital, Powell reportedly ran out of the emergency room exit and fled southbound on South Governors Avenue.

Powell is 5’9″, approximately 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, jean shorts, and sneakers.
