Windsor Federal Savings Bank has gone from a temporary home to a permanent one in South Windsor with the opening of a new branch at 176 Deming St.
The bank had been operating from an interim branch in a neighboring office building while the new branch was being planned and built.
Bank officials celebrated the opening of the new branch with a ribbon cutting Oct. 21.
It’s the ninth location for Windsor Federal, including its main office at 250 Broad St., Windsor.
Windsor Federal was founded in 1936 and is the only mutual institution headquartered in Hartford County; its operations and branches are also located in Hartford County.
It had total assets of $707 million as of June 30, total deposits of $623 million and employed the equivalent of 100 full-time employees, according to the FDIC.
