CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake’s upcoming vintners dinner is themed to Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).
Wines from Spain and Southern America will be featured at a wine-aromas class and dinner 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30. Certified Wine Specialist Lauren Fiala will host.
A representative for the event says the dinner is close to a sellout, so call for availability.

• Welcome wines: Juve and Camps Cava Brut Nature wines. “Brut nature” means the sparkling wine has no added sugar, and Cava is a Spanish sparkler.
• First course: Pork tamale, cilantro lime foam, fermented habanero hot sauce, sour cream. Wine: Carlos Serres Rioja Reserva.
• Second course: Salt cod, tomato broth. Wine: Licia Albarino.
• Third course: Chicken mole, rice, sweet peas. Wine: Bodega la Cartuja Priorat.
• Fourth course: Lemon olive-oil skull cake, almonds, dulce de leche. Wine: Pedro Ximenez Sherry.
