Showers, thunderstorms expected across northern Ohio through Monday night; rainy week ahead

Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening across portions of northern Ohio, according to the National Weather Service.

Some thunderstorms may approach severe limits with damaging wind gusts. A tornado or two is also possible.

High temperatures Monday will be in the lower 60s. Rain is also possible Tuesday with cooler temperatures expected. Highs Tuesday will be in the lower 50s.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 3 p.m. High near 63. South wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11 p.m. and midnight, then a chance of showers after midnight. Low around 46. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 9 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

A chance of showers, mainly before noon. Cloudy, with a high near 53. Northwest wind 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
