Lane closures are expected to begin again at the I-20 state line bridge replacement project for the next three weeks.

According to Georgia DOT, travel lanes from River Watch Parkway to Exit 1 in South Carolina will be impacted starting Oct. 26 through Nov. 11. The closures will allow crews to perform concrete paving and bridge deck pour operations in both travel directions.

The $82 million project is being funded by GDOT and the South Carolina Department of Transportation to replace the I-20 bridges over the Augusta Canal and Savannah River. The project is expected to be completed sometime in 2022.

All work dates may be rescheduled to alternate times if needed and will be limited to late night and early morning hours.
